Fresno State composer, professor and saxophonist Benjamin Boone takes you behind the scenes of each Masterworks program in a lively, interactive presentation one hour before the concert. 


Ben brings his unique perspective as a teacher composer and jazz musician to the concert hall for an off-beat and entertaining look at classical music and people who write and perform it.  Inside the Music is free to all Masterworks ticket holders and is held inside the concert hall one hour prior to the concert.

EDUCATION CONCERTS FOR SCHOOLS

Each year the Fresno Philharmonic brings the unique thrill of live classical music to thousands of local school children.  This year we’ll present Carnegie Hall’s amazing interactive concert Link Up:The Orchestra Sings to over 11,000 students in Fresno Unified, Central Unified, Clovis Unified and Sanger Unified School Districts as well as other individual schools. 


 The Fresno Philharmonic also sends musicians to perform in schools throughout the region.  Fresno Philharmonic education programs are presented free to area schools in partnership with the Fresno County Office of Education.  To find out how your school can participate, contact Stephen Wilson, Executive Director at swilson@fresnophil.org or 559-261-0611, x. 616
