Assistant to the Manager for Patron Development and Relations

Job Description:
The Assistant to the Manager for Patron Development and Relations will be responsible for assisting with Fresno Philharmonic special events, receptions, and concerts. Data entry, phone call follow ups and research will also be required of the position. This position needs to be filled immediately, and must be available through May, 2010. Applicants will need to be available to work occasional weekends and some evenings. Approximately 15 hours are needed per week and scheduled hours are relatively flexible. Additional hours may also be needed prior to and during major events.

Requirements:

  • Strong in Word/Excel/Publisher
  • Experience in data entry with precision
  • Professional Presentation
  • Ability to communicate with upscale clientele
  • Good communication skills with appropriate phone etiquette
  • Position needs to be filled immediately, must be available through May, 2010
  • Must be available to work occasional weekends and some evenings
  • Ability to multitask with flexibility and good humor
This entry level position is ideal for those wishing to pursue a career in the arts. You will gain exposure to: the basic level of how a nonprofit operates; the development of existing and new patrons; fundraising; and the world of classical music.
