Paris in the 1930’s was a place of extraordinary artistic and intellectual ferment. Francis Poulenc’s effervescent Concerto for Two Pianos combines the lyricism of Mozart with the jazzy rhythms of the popular music of his era. Pianist William Eddins joins Rei Hotoda for this gallic treat, paired with Mozart’s Haffner Symphony and Valerie Coleman’s 2019 composition Umoja, which means unity in Swahili.
